Biblioteca delle Oblate
reading, listening, quiet conversation with a view of the Duomo
Learn Italian while walking through the city. Walks, lessons and real conversations with a native Italian teacher, tailor-made, in the heart of Florence.
Write to me for your programYou come out with me into the streets of Florence and learn Italian while living it. At the market, in a garden, in front of a fresco, sitting in a library.
The city becomes the context, the conversation becomes the lesson.
It doesn't replace lessons, it completes them.
Or it can stand alone, as an intensive immersion of one or more days.
Every experience is different because every person is different. Before organising anything, we talk: how much time you have in Florence, your level of Italian, what really interests you, art, food, history, everyday life.
From there we build a program together that alternates more structured lessons with outings across the city, always with spoken Italian as the common thread.
It can last a day, a weekend, one or two weeks. It's up to you.

Jana arrived in Florence with good comprehension and a real desire to unlock her speaking. Together we built a two-week program alternating morning lessons with afternoon outings around the city.
Before · Jana understood almost everything but hesitated to speak. She was afraid of making mistakes, especially outside a controlled setting.
During · We started from her most frequent mistakes, using the city's spaces as teaching material. At the Biblioteca delle Oblate she learned to describe and argue a point. Hunting for the little wine windows, she told and listened to stories. At the Bardini Garden she talked about nature, memory, beauty. Every outing had a precise linguistic thread, it wasn't a stroll, it was a lesson in motion.
After · By the end of the two weeks, Jana ordered at the bar without hesitating, asked questions of the people we met in the street and had stopped translating in her head before answering. Italian had stopped being a subject. It had become a way of being in Florence.
"I never imagined learning a language could feel like this. I was walking through Florence and speaking, really speaking.", Jana
Florence is full of places that are perfect for learning. I use some of them often because they work, for the atmosphere, for the people, for what they let you do with the language.

reading, listening, quiet conversation with a view of the Duomo

sensory vocabulary, description, storytelling

the Italian of everyday life, of the market, of the street

ordering, interacting, listening to Florentines

history, art, more refined vocabulary

atmosphere, storytelling, food and words that stay with you
The places change with the program and the season. What doesn't change is the approach: every spot has a precise linguistic purpose.

You don't have to commit to a full tour or a whole week of lessons. We can meet for a single aperitivo and turn that hour into a tailor-made conversation, in a real Florentine bar, glass in hand.
It's the perfect way to try the method: one hour, the city as your classroom, and Italian that starts to feel natural right away.
